Naming a brand "Commonwealth Utilities" is a little bit risky. For starters, you're assuming it's for everyone. Then also, it should be functional menswear - not just stuff that works in a music video you'd rather not watch while waiting for Nitro Circus to start.
But the clothing brand's taking their best aim with the Spring '10 season, set to debut next week (of course, that didn't stop us from getting the pictures right now). The designers - Anthony Keegan and Richard Christensen - first met tending bar together, but later realized another mutual obsession: the bowtie. After realizing not every dude wanted to be Andre 3000 (or Brad from The Rachel Zoe show), they began supplementing their funny-formal aesthetic with stuff that even a frat boy could wear - case in point, this year they've joined forces with former NY Ranger (and Vogue intern) Sean Avery to "consult" on their new looks.
Speaking of those new looks, yeah, they're below. But don't feel cool that you've gotten out of going to a fashion show - do you know how many hot girls end up at those things
